The HMI series devices are equipped with a touch panel and are therefore able to display process parameter and status information. This brings their use as a slave terminal to the fore. The new Modbus displays initially attract attention thanks to their brilliant, sharp display. Their easy readability over an angle of 170° is equally impressive. The inner qualities are also worthy of mention. For example, ease of use: individual screen pages can be created conveniently with the free WYSIWYG tool “HMI Designer” – just by using the drag and drop function. The objects on the screen are then linked to the corresponding Modbus registers. This automatically displays the data in the correct place on the screen. All Modbus registers can be freely assigned to different objects on display such as numerical values, bar graphs, images, text information, etc.; 32-bit values can also be transferred for floating point calculations. Up to 256 Modbus registers are supported.
The HMI series displays can be connected to all Modbus masters and used in RTU and TCP modes. Therefore connection is possible to any programmable logic controllers (PLC) from numerous well-known manufacturers, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Beckhoff.
Thanks to mechanical design of the plastic case, they can be mounted on walls as well as in front panels or the doors of control cabinets. No tools are required to connect data and power supply cables.
