The Ag97000 series is the latest new and improved cost optimised and fully featured IEEE802.3af Single-in-Line (SIL) PoE PD module solution and is pin for pin compatible with previous generations – Ag9700, Ag9600 and Ag9400 product series.
The modules are pre-configured as a Type 1 Class 0 device, requesting 15.4W of power from the PSE, with nominal output voltages of 5V, 12V or 24V.
They feature optional class programming to request Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 power levels by fitting an external resistor.
The DC/DC converter can achieve efficiencies up to 89% efficiency and operates over a wide input voltage range with a low ripple and low noise output with built-in output overload, output short-circuit and over-temperature protection and an 1500Vdc (input to output) isolation barrier.
The Ag97000 is also a single-sided product and over 40% lighter in weight.
