Optical Bonding

Optical Bonding is used to combine the Glass or T/P with LCM.


Optical Bonding enhances the LCD to restrict the conditions of the application environment, such as strong sunbeams or damp environment.

Under the outdoor sun (approx. 10000 nits), the surface of the LCD tends to reflect sunbeams so that the content of the LCD cannot be clearly identified.

Humidity effect: To strengthen the bonding of film-coated Glass onto the surface of LCD, Optical Bonding can prevent moisture and dust from entering the inner side of LCD.
Tempered glass can be selected to enhance the impact resistance of the LCD in order that the surface of the LCD will sustain certain foreign force without damage.


Conventional way of solving the problem in enhancing the brightness of backlight with outdoor optical method

Increase the light-enhancing film.CCFL (boost the current of the tube).Increase the number of LED dice.The above-said method brings about effects on cost, life, heat radiation and contrast, etc.

When calculating the reflection rate of LCM at 0.5%, the light reflected will be 50 nits.
