We supply products at a high-volume for a variety of common body electronic applications, including mirror control and flap control in HVACs. They all share the same protection features – short-circuit protection, temperature warning and switch off, low voltage protection, and open load detection – all of which are a must for automotive electronics.
Microchip offers dual full-bridge motor drivers to drive bipolar stepper motors, or bidirectional control of two DC motors. The wide operating voltage range and easy to design with microcontrollers (MCU) allows customer to quickly adopt them into applications, such as security camera, ticketing system, home appliances, etc. Microchip also offers full-bridge motor gate drivers to drive brushed DC motors in automotive body and powertrain applications.
Microchip offers a family of three-phase brushless motor drivers and gate drivers.
The family of three-phase brushless sensorless sinusoidal motor drivers can be interfaced with any microcontrollers by using a simple PWM, or can also be used stand alone by the application. The family of three-phase brushless gate drivers are ideal to be designed with microcontrollers or digital signal controllers.
Microchip multi-channel half bridge drivers support brushed DC motors in automotive and industrial applications. They are designed to support three to six independent driver stages and currents up to 1A each half bridge output. The control and diagnosis interface is a 16-Bit SPI.
The devices are designed in BCD-on-SOI architecture, combining high-voltage capability with the benefits of rugged SOI technology: high temperature resistance, excellent radiation hardness, very low leakage currents, low parasitic and latch-up immunity.
